I just traded my '01 Denali in. She had 22's, 305 - 45/22's tires, a 3/2 McGaughy's, etc, etc, etc. Never had a rub issue. But I just picked up a nice '05 XL and I wanted to put the same suspension set up on, but would like to jump up to 24's. I've got 3 kids and want to retain the ride comfort (as much as you can with wheels/suspension set up), but I don't want to have to listen to a bunch of rubbing.
I understand there are a couple options: narrower tire size or cut the fender liners. I also know that wheel offset will likely have an impact as well. Can those of you with similar set ups give me some feedback on what you did and what you're experiencing? I hate to do anything other than that McGaughy's (based on what I've read about the torsion key and other drop kits) but I'll stick with 22's if it's going to be that much of a pain.
